At The DMA we create professional, high quality WordPress websites for businesses all over Australia and Asia.

Our websites are designed to meet our client’s demands, whether big or small. Each delivered project has the technical capability, plus the visual impact to have customers picking up the phone. What’s more, our websites are dynamic so they can grow and change as your business does.

The DMA team

We are a team of WordPress professionals keen to deliver great looking and functional results.  As well as industry leading WordPress skills we have a solid understanding of business and marketing a business online. Key team members, like Peter Shilling have had significant experience building and running Internet based companies.

Our core strengths:

  • Solid and well used production processes (think smooth running, on time projects)
  • Deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem (we live and breath this stuff!)
  • Great team of designers and developers
  • Real business and marketing experience

We’re not the local web design cowboys

DMA Founders, Peter Shilling and Clair Gowenlock have worked over the past 6 years to gather together a team of professionals. We’re very happy to have Belinda Williams, a Sydney based copywriter and author, working closely with us as one of our WordPress producers.

As well, we have a number of WordPress developers and graphic designers on team, currently (2014) we’re a team of seven in total.

We regularly add to our team, so if you’re a skilled WordPress developer, graphic designer or producer – we’d love to hear from you.

Managed WordPress hosting

We prefer to host the websites that we build in our own managed setup, specially tuned for WordPress. In addition to hosting sites we provide an ongoing management service to ensure that your site is running the latest stable WordPress releases and plugins and look after regular scheduled backups.

We love WordPress!

wordpress-logoOur team is passionate about WordPress!

We love that it’s open source and we’ve taken that philosophy to heart here at The DMA.

We don’t just build WordPress websites, we actively get involved in the community.  Our team regularly attend WordPress Meetups in Sydney and WordCamp conferences both locally and internationally.

We manage the hosting setup of almost every one of our clients and serve over 1 million page views every week.

Our team has created and released a number of free WordPress Plugins that have been downloaded and installed on over 60,000 websites. We also build and support a range of commercial WordPress plugins and training materials via our site HelpForWP.com

Partner with us

WordPress is a specialised area, which means you may not have the expertise in-house to build a WordPress site to its full capability. That’s why we regularly partner with a range of agencies and businesses who come to us because we’re the Australian WordPress experts.

By integrating us into your web build process, we’ll partner with you for the most important elements, including working closely with your team to develop a concise brief, creating wireframes and designs, through to website development and content.

We aim to operate seamlessly as part of your team. We attend client and internal meetings and our dedicated account manager will become an extended member of your team. Best of all, you’ll find us easy to work with, flexible and professional.

We regularly partner with:

  • Marketing agencies
  • IT firms
  • Marketing consultants, business coaches and consultants
  • SEO companies

Hang on, what is WordPress?

If you’re new to WordPress, in a nutshell, it is an open source blogging and content management system (CMS) that first arrived on the scene in 2003. Today it is currently the most popular CMS on the internet – for businesses and individuals alike.

It’s increasingly popular as a CMS because it allows you to control the content of your website, change it whenever you like and blog freely and regularly.
